It's that time of year again! The LDS Holistic Living Conference and Expo is right around the corner. And I have a little surprise for you...
The conference is Friday and Saturday, June 21-22. The Friday keynote will be at Noah's in Lindon, UT from 5:00-7:00 and the Saturday Conference is at Paradigm High School in South Jordan, where it's been the past few years, and runs all day starting at 8:30. The free and open to the public vendor area is always a wealth of knowledge in and of itself!
The Saturday line up of speakers and classes look incredible! One highlight is Caleb Warnock, who is the author of the books The Forgotten Skills of Self-Sufficiency Used by the Mormon Pioneers, The Art of Baking with Natural Yeast, and Backyard Winter Gardening. He's going to be teaching four classes on natural yeast (grocery store yeast - the first GMO food created - is synthetic and is partly to blame for many, many digestive issues including gluten intolerance), a tasting class with his rare vegetables picked fresh that morning, organic gardening and the secret ingredients on your dinner plate (did you know that flour purposefully and legally contains ground animal bone, human hair, and duck feathers? Yuck!!!).
Neal Bosshardt, owner and founder of Redmond Clay, is going to be doing a hands on, clay class on making preparations to treat spider bites, burns and infections. Also classes on the art of muscle testing (the energetic responses to what we say, do, think, and feel, a great diagnostic tool), and the power of chakras! And that's just a small handful of the classes offered. There is really something for everyone.
I think I'm going to take one of Caleb Warnock's classes (maybe the yeast one?) and definitely the muscle testing one; I've always wanted to know how to do that! And I'm definitely taking this essential oils class because it's being taught by my friend Julie!! And it's going to be awesome, of course:) And maybe a yoga class. I hope I see some of you there!!
You can register at the door, but you will save a bundle by registering online before June 1 for $11 per class! AND if you leave a comment here, or on facebook (or both!), and Random.org picks your number, you can attend for FREE!! I've got one ticket to give away-- I hope you win!!!
