Some friends of friends have two very prolific cherry trees and invited us over to collect as many cherries as we could carry.
It was such a perfect evening activity. We brought Huxton, and the kids and pup raced around in the backyard while Clay and I revisited our childhoods among the leafy branches.
Clay helped Sam climb up in the tree so he could have a turn at filling the bucket too. We've borrowed a cherry pitter from some neighbors and it's kept Sam busy all morning (seriously, best kid-entertainer ever!) though we've still barely made a dent. Now the question is, what should I make with all these cherries?!
