This coconut crust, chocolate cream pie sounds awesome, and it only has four ingredients! If I make it I think I'll swap the sweetened coconut out for regular coconut and just sweeten it myself with a little honey or maple syrup. The sweetened stuff has freaky ingredients.
Did you know you can "recycle" the root end of onions (that you were just going to throw out anyway!) to grow green onions (or regular onions) right in your kitchen! I love this idea because I always end up wasting the last one or two green onions when I buy them because they get left in the fridge and get all soggy and gross.
Homemade coconut milk shampoo! I ADORE the smell of coconut, it is my absolute favorite thing. I wonder if you could add coconut extract to the shampoo, instead of an essential oil to make it smell super coconut-y...
Wouldn't a basket of these fairytale stones be wonderful to have by your kids bed, or on the coffee table? I love the idea of reaching into the basket, pulling out a few and building a story around them. Tactile, visual, creative...
And here is the whole wheat and honey pineapple upsidedown cake recipe I promised. It's so healthy you can serve it to your kids for breakfast (thanks for the pic Olya!). I've got this pineapple on my counter that I am still waiting to get to the point of extreme ripeness, but my patience is waning... It is such good cake, I can't wait to make it!
PS These raw cookie dough bites also look pretty amazing, and does anyone else start breathing fast and get heart palpitations when they read THIS? I think it's the most exciting thing I've read all week:) (Don't get too excited when you click the link; I'm kind of a nerd about that kind of stuff. So, maybe it's not as exciting to normal people...) Have a wonderful weekend!
