Did everyone have a wonderful holiday? I hope so! Ours was spent with cousins, in-laws, new babies and more food that we could eat in a week!
This year the Thanksgiving meal preparation was spread out among all the families such that the burden of preparing it didn't fall on any one mama's shoulders. We brought a pecan pie, some veggie appetizers with a walnut pate and a harvest fruit salad with coconut milk. I also brought some extra stuffing. The day before when I was picking up ingredients I got so excited for Thanksgiving that I started craving stuffing (the best part!) and couldn't stop myself from getting some and whipping it up for lunch! I brought the leftover to the big meal on Thursday.
Whoever came up with Thanksgiving was a person after my own heart. What better excuse for a holiday than a day spent with family and food, giving thanks? It feels so good to be surrounded by family, little ones running around and good cooking smells in the air. Every time we're all together it makes me wish we lived closer. I hope you all had a wonderful day full of family and delicious food!
