This is an exciting giveaway because it comes from two companies, both owned by the same clever gal; the first is the Herbal Roots Zine, a downloadable magazine issued monthly. Each
edition focuses on one particular herb and contains activities, stories, projects and recipes to involve the whole family. I love that kind of step-by-step learning; you learn each thing so thoroughly without becoming overwhelmed by too much information. Kristine writes about herbs that are in season such that you can experiment with each herb as you get each issue.
And how does she know so much about all these herbs you ask? Well, it just so happens that she also runs the Luna Herb Company from her farm! She makes all sorts of wonderful salves and balms, gentle baby products, beauty products and soothing herbal pillows. You can also order custom items, which is so cool! Want a certain fragrance of lotion? Something to soothe your particular pregnancy complaints or your baby's upset tummy? Shoot her an email and I bet she can come up with just the concoction for you!
Kristine has put together a wonderful themed package for someone. Everything (except the soap) has calendula in it and you'll get the magazine that teaches you all about it. Included in the package is a wonderful all-purpose salve with calendula, comfrey leaf and comfrey root; a spicy soap that is a blend of olive oil, soybean oil and coconut oil with cloves, bay and patchouli; a delicate rose-calendula lotion, and a sweet baby oil made with apricot kernel oil and infused with chamomile, calendula and rose petals.
