I almost forgot to mention the craft fair we went to weekend before last. The vibe wasn’t entirely my speed, but we still found a few vendors that
we loved. IH Squared, by Isaac Hastings, was far and away our favorite. I love wood, the warm colors, the texture,
the smell, the solidity, the way it ages, everything about it. So, of course I was drawn to this booth.
I’m crazy about the way he sees and brings
out the wonderful pictures in the knots of these woods. Wouldn’t one of these look brilliant in a
kid’s room? Or in my living room, for
that matter. I could totally see one in
our den. He also had wooden belt buckles
that were so rad! The designs were modern,
but realized in the timeless material of wood.
I loved it. But I’m not really
supposed to blog about those because Clay wants to be the only kid on the block
with a wooden belt buckle! So, forget I
mentioned that part… But do check out
